Mazlum Nergiz is a writer and theater maker. He studied cultural anthropology, comparative literature, and media art in Berlin and Weimar. In 2021, he completed the master's program »DAS Theatre« at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. His final production »Drift« was invited to the festival Pop-Kultur in Berlin in 2021. His essay »Wrinkles and Islands« was published by Matthes & Seitz; the short stories »392 Days of Visions« and »Expansion of the Fire« by Spector Books. In 2022, together with Juan Miranda, he developed the play »The Sense of Belonging« with a group of adolescents at the Schauspiel Hannover. The play »COMA« also won the Hans Gratzer grant in 2022 and premiered at the Schauspielhaus Vienna. The graphic novel of the same name (together with Leonie Ott) will be published in 2023 by März Verlag.
