¬ Agnese Menguzzato
"Ever haunting presence of our world, music brings us close and together; it is collectivity, and it leads us in and beyond ourselves, defining and blurring space and time. Even when it resembles silence, music draws meanings and routes, the perpetual Songline of our life. Meditations, Sounds, and Devotions is an occasion to highlight the significance of gossip, as the realm of community and solidarity where music is the soundtrack of the harmonious activities that weaved our memory."

Agnese Menguzzato is an Italian composer and musician based in Berlin. Classically trained, she then started exploring electroacoustic composition and electronics, seen as a timeless medium to lap new aural perspectives. She often employs the auditory potential of her lute to create uncanny paths in the harmonic and tonal sequences of her work. Her sonic research also reflects her early fascination for polyphonic choir music from Renaissance and the Middle Ages.
Menguzzato’s musical expression is deeply rooted in her childhood imagery and in the confrontation with nature, from which every human sentiment flows; having lived between Trentino Alps and Emilia Apennines, she’s led to frame sonic landscapes, in which she gathers and combines raw and digital sounds.
